This productive heirloom,"Connecticut Field", dating to the 1700‘s (at least), is the classic "jack-o-lantern" pumpkin: big round, orange flat-bottom globes weighing 15-20 lbs. Around here we call it the "Monster Pumpkin". Flesh inside is thick, orange-yellow, and stringy. Grow extra for your farm animals -they love this nutritious food. Bonus: edible squash blossoms!
