This is a delightful, small, pear-shaped heirloom squash from France. Deep orange flesh with a splendid chestnut flavor that is excellent baked or in soups. A reliable producer in our cooler climate, which surprised us. It’s a hit!
Direct sow outside after last frost, when soil temp is at least 60°F Plant in rows 1" deep, 3" apart, thin to 4' apart; or plant in hills 6 seeds per hill, thinning to 3 plants per hill. Can be started indoors, provided roots are not disturbed during transplanting.
