Direct sow outside after last frost, when soil temp is at least 60°F Plant in rows 1" deep, 3" apart, thin to 4' apart; or plant in hills 6 seeds per hill, thinning to 3 plants per hill. Can be started indoors, provided roots are not disturbed during transplanting.
soaking seeds overnight can speed up germination
warm weather medium-rooted plants that like rich soil, sun and plenty of moisture
