A great melon for our northern climate with limited hot weather. The earliest melon in the North. These oblong, sweet, orange-fleshed cantaloupe melons get to 3 lbs and have a netted skin.
Sow outdoors when soil is at least 70 ℉ in hills of rich soil/compost. Plant 5 seeds 1/2" deep and five per hill, thinning later to the most vigorous 1 or 2 plants. Good hill sizes are about 3-6” high, 12” diameter and spaced about 16” apart.

cover with a row cover or sheet if weather gets cool
