This sweet tasting lettuce features long upright dark green leaves with thick crisp white stems. Parris Island romaine is a good keeper and is popular for market gardeners. Wonderful alone in traditional “Caesar” salads or blended with other lettuces.
Cool season crop. Direct seed outside when soil can be worked in spring, soil temperature 35-45 ℉. Plant 1/4" deep, 2" apart, thin when leaves touch.
