This fast-growing, early season Asian green is a MUST for any garden. Lots of nutritious greens on small sweet, flavorful white stalks. It does well in our cool springs, can handle frosts, and resists bolting. You can harvest and eat the baby plants raw in salads. Mature plants are excellent in stir fries and soups.
Direct seed outdoors when soil temp is 40 ℉ and soil can be worked. Plant 1/4" to 1/2" deep, 1" apart, thin to 4" to 6" apart. Succession plant through spring for longer harvest. Can plant in late summer for fall crops.
