A colorful mx from our favorite plants that do well in our founders’ Chesaw garden. Easy to grow perennials that come back each year on their own and are adored by hummingbirds and butterflies. Wildflower for naturalizing. Good permaculture, polyculture and homestead plant.
Direct seed into the garden after the last frost, plant 1" apart, 1/4" deep, thin to 12" apart. germination 3-4 weeks at 70-80℉ . Chill seeds at 40℉ or below for 4-5 days before planting. Columbines like moist fertile soil, and partial shade.

faster germination trick: spread seed on damp paper towel, fold, put in fridge inside zip-lock bag for 2 wks before planting
