Cauliflower - Early Snowball
Quantity in Stock:4
Usually Ships in 1 to 2 Business Days
This tasty heirloom dates from 1888. Solid packed, white, a very early producer with good head quality. In our opinion, it’s the best open-pollinated cauliflower variety for our climate! Tolerates light frosts at the beginning and end of season. Doesn't do well in prolonged hot weather.
Spring Crop: Start indoors 4-7 weeks ahead; transplant when garden soil is about 60 ℉, or about 2-4 weeks before last frost, with protection. Space about 20” apart. Fall Crop: Direct seed in late summer, 6-8 weeks before first frost. Shade from heat if necessary.

companion planting aromatic herbs (lemon balm, sage, oregano, borage, hyssop, dill, rosemary) and/or high blossom flowers like tall marigolds and calendulas near or among brassicas helps keep pests away; or make our cabbage moth decoy (details on our blog)
cross-pollinates readily with cabbages, broccolis, brussels sprouts, cauliflowers, kohlrabis, kales, collards, and other Brassica oleracea cultivars; recommend saving seed from only one variety at a time
