From Purple Frog Gardens, Whitefish, MT. Developed in the Flathead Valley, this hard neck rocambole variety is one of Purple Frog's favorites, which they have been growing for over 20 years. Big bulbs with 8-10 mostly large cloves/bulb. The beautiful rusty purple skin is easy to peel and the flavor hints of grass, with a smooth garlic bite. Keeps well through mid to late winter. From Two Bear Farm in Whitefish, MT. A hardy, easy-to-grow Porcelain hard neck that adapts well to local conditions and loves growing in cold climates. Large bulbs (3-inches), wrapped in a tight, easy-to-peel white skin, with 5-6 fat, dense cloves inside. Rich, pungent, garlicky flavor that’s not too hot. Stores well. High medicinal allicin content. Originally from Italy/Yugoslavia area and grown for many years in Canada by Al Music.
