The classic pie pumpkin: orange skin with thick, fine-grained flesh and a deep sugary flavor. Fruit are small, weighing 6-8 lbs, and their round, bottom-flattened shape make wonderful mini jack-o-lanterns. Fabulous keepers, too.

Direct sow outside after last frost, when soil temp is at least 60°F Plant in rows 1" deep, 3" apart, thin to 4' apart; or plant in hills 6 seeds per hill, thinning to 3 plants per hill. Can be started indoors, provided roots are not disturbed during transplanting.
