Just so you know, in our climate these luxurious little heirloom melons from France need a greenhouse and a trellis (they’re space hogs). Still, they are the best we’ve ever eaten and worth the effort, we think. The fragrance is intoxicating, and the flavor, juice and texture sublime.
Sow outdoors when soil is at least 70 ℉ in hills of rich soil/compost. Plant 5 seeds 1/2" deep and five per hill, thinning later to the most vigorous 1 or 2 plants. Good hill sizes are about 3-6” high, 12” diameter and spaced about 16” apart.
heat-loving medium-rooted plants that like rich soil, sun and plenty of moisture
