A frost-tolerant classic, old world shell bean variety with huge seeds, perfect for high latitude climates. Likes cool weather and is a very dependable yielder. Sweet, meaty beans also known as broad beans. Delicious fresh, dried or processed. Nitrogen fixing legume. Benefits from bacterial inoculant (included).
Sow in spring as soon as soil can be worked (40+℉). Seed 1 inch deep, 6 inches apart in rows 18 or more inches apart.
